We're doing a two-off run at a loft in Chelsea this weekend.
Chelsea's an increasingly strange neighborhood because you really see some of the most extreme disparities between rich and poor in—almost more so than anywhere else in New York City.
And the towers that are built along the Hudson block out a lot of light, so it feels dark and elegant, but also a little dilapidated.
It's like different parts of the neighborhood's history haven't entirely synthesized. Different layers of city life and history overlap, uneasily.
I couldn't sleep last night, fitfully, because I was anticipating a Times “Zoomers” review coming out, which it did at 5am.
