I realized—and this comes from a conversation today with my sister—that older millennials are either well, rich (that is to say they've joined the class of mass affluent, the McMansion or condo crowd), or they're broken, delusional, unsure of how to live their lives because there's no access to spiritual richness and no money to compensate. There's either leisure class consumption or total confusion.
I know a lot of people who are hitting 35 or 40 with no clear sense of what their life should be than they had at 25; they’re stuck in the past, stuck in high school, never having fully formed as adults—terrified to really acknowledge that the world never found them as special as they expected or hoped.
