AI has sped up the rate at which I can do busy work, meaningless paperwork—but it does something strange to my brain; I can feel my brain offloading work; I can feel neurons decoupling, cognitive musculature losing slack; I feel myself losing the ability to spell, to reason.

I can’t imagine doing any serious writing on my laptop anymore—it’s genuinely spiritually disturbing. I think we’ll soon look at AI, if we don’t already, as a social contagion: its usefulness quickly becomes a crutch, which becomes a permanent disability.
