There are days when I feel lighter suddenly, when I realize, and when I realize, consequently, how much melancholy and sluggishness I was carrying with me. By comparison, happiness is a magic lamp, which illuminates all the normally invisible dark matter in life, in one's life.
The most freeing and exciting part about writing a play is when the language begins to speak for itself.
I'm enjoying doing my old play Dimes Square for a *normal* theater audience, one which, for the most part, is there to be entertained, and not to take part in a larger, amorphous social ritual.
