We have to live on many levels at once. Taxes have to be filed and the trash taken out. We have to work and we should exercise and... eat healthy food and... We should read books and we should meditate and we should pray. At least… these are all demands that are implicitly bubble up through our cultural programming, norms and advertisements; discourse; political indoctrination and our secular inheritance.
The modern person—believes that they—should be everywhere at once, everything at once: self-improving in all domains.1 Informed, fit. Compassionate. Engaged. But also fun, sexy, cool.
